When we Left Morgantown at 2:30 this morning, it was 23 degrees. We were delayed getting to Washington for our departure, as there was heavy snow en route. When we arrived at our hotel at 10pm in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, it was 75 degrees, with a high of 86 tomorrow.
Needless to say, our bodies are undergoing a lot of confusion right now.
Because of the snow delay, didn’t have much time to enjoy the scenery before we had to board our Copa Airlines flight for our connection in Panama. The first flight was wonderful. The staff was friendly, the airline food was surprisingly nothing to joke about, and the weather was perfect for flying.
After 5 hours in air, and a bumpy landing, we grabbed a Subway sandwich from a non-English speaker (who was incredibly friendly and patient with us), and took some time to reflect before boarding our second flight of the day.
This flight was again wonderful. We all managed to get significant naps on this flight, and enjoy yet another wonderful meal and some movies before our very scenic landing in Bolivia.
After clearing customs (with a very minimal number of hiccups), we met up with JD Reed who brought us to our hotel. We’ll be catching a 2pm flight to Cochabamba tomorrow, so in the intervening time we will all get plenty of rest after a long day of travel.
Your prayers are appreciated throughout this week. One specific prayer is that God will provide us with the energy and health to enter the mission field tomorrow with servant hearts.
1 Oh sing to the Lord a new song;
sing to the Lord, all the earth!
2 Sing to the Lord, bless his name;
tell of his salvation from day to day.
3 Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous works among all the peoples!
– Psalm 96:1-3
Praying for you all as you enter the nnison field. Praying for health and for your hearts, there is nothing like it!❤❤❤
